The Travel Channel was here all morning. We've agree to participate in a show called "Vacation Home Search" which is part of their "Fantasy Living" series. I've never seen but it sounds exactly like House Hunters. The show features three different homes and the buyers hem and haw over each one, finally making an offer on one of the houses. Think Goldielocks and the Three Bears... "This one's too small! This one's too big! This one's JUST right!"

This particular episode is, of course, Palm Springs and Mid-Century Modern vacation homes.

The crew was extremely nice and neat and complimentary. Today they filmed all of the "cut away" shots. Tomorrow morning they'll begin filming with the buyers and agent etc.

The show doesn't air for 2 months or so, but when I know the date, I'll post it here.

1. You know this but...Be nice to the crew/producer and they will be nice to you back - in the end/air - when it all matters. If they are being really really really nice to you - BEWARE! They feel guilty for what they are going to do to you. Its not their fault the script is already written.

2. Be prepared for some horrible bitchy comments about the abode(s) - hopefully none of which will be about yours. Its part of the script anyway.

3. Did I notice in photo two "Palm Springs / Gary & Glenn..." Say Heeeellloooooo to your fabulous new gay neighbors! You WIN WIN WIN!!!

4. Of course Im fully expecting G&G to be edited (er charcter built) to fill the stereotype of gay nelly queens. Just the opposite (mostly) of their real down home deminor.

5. So do you and the missus get to play a part as the seller? Hm lets see... how shall we character build here....ah YESSSS! The missus no doubt will be a Dominatrix and hmmmmm ... well MJ... PRINCESS DAHLING...

Ok so I just got my power back - and the Vodka is cold. I will probably regret these comments tomorrow but - good luck, love and XXXOOO

Keith Dahling... trust me, we ran through all of the "worst case scenarios" before we signed on and I'm fairly certain we'll fall into the "too small" category. I'm sure there will be a couple of smarmy comments, there always are. That's television. The fact that the producer pulled out her personal camera after they had finished shooting and we talked in depth about ideas for her own house was hopeful that we will be treated well. We'll see ;)
