DNS Weirdness...

Or why I hate technology part 2:

Now see if you can follow me on this one... So tonight I am trying to access this blog via my iBook and I get a "server not found" error. I contact my host's customer service and am informed that my DNS information at WhoIs is pointing to my old host from 4 months ago, and that I would need to contact Network Solutions to figure out what the problem is.

How does that happen? How does DNS info suddenly revert to an old host? So I have written NetSol and will wait to see what they say.

In the meantime, I came into my office here and tried to load this site and guess what? Everything works fine. It's not a cache, it's all here loading just fine. The only thing I can't access is my email server and FTP servers. Now I'm perplexed. Back I go to the iBook and I get nothing - Server not found. Color me confused. I seem to be able to post via MT for the time being from this computer, but if you don't hear from me for a few days... You know that I am lost in Domain Name Hell. I will persevere. I will be back...

I haven't been able to access your site for a few days. Glad to see you're back!

Ah, there you are. It crossed my mind that there was some sort of international conspiracy afoot.

JJ - If only it were that exciting!

Being on a forced hiatus was painful.
