Well, this description is more accurate than that Myers-Briggs thang...
MJ, you are moderately right-hemisphere dominant and have even preferences between auditory and visual processing, traits that might make people perceive you as "slightly off balance."
You are most likely to be slightly disorganized, a "dreamer" and a person who focuses more on the end result than the immediate task at hand. You are creative and spontaneous if somewhat lacking in direction and focus. You are a learner who is generally patient and a person for whom time is an ally, not an enemy.
You are more passionate than most people with regard to life and learning and recognize your own intuitive abilities. You have sufficient goal-direction to satisfy yourself and guarantee success without being or feeling driven. You are willing to be reflective about yourself and others without getting lost in rumination.
The balance of your sensory modes allows for both learning and expressive capabilities achieved by few. You are active and "seeing" while retaining an equally strong propensity for being reflective which slows you down a little but allows for a more comprehensive perception and analysis of situations and problems. You do not spend excessive time analyzing since you mostly trust your perceptions.
In all likelihood, you have a tendency to overcommit and cannot under- stand why others get upset since you operate on a different "time table" than they do. Your organizational abilities are frequently overwhelmed by the stimulation seeking and active nature of your mind as well as by the tendency to create new categories and gloss over details, making categorization and classification almost impossible at times.
To the extent that your career path allows for creativity and abstraction as well as a bit of disorganization, you should find yourself equipped to handle any learning that is required. Your own personal adjustment to your style should come naturally although you are likely to feel frus- trated by your own limited discipline and often wonder "Why?"
Take the test here.
Posted by MJ at June 19, 2003 08:55 PMI thought "horked" was when you grabbed something from someone and "gacked" was when you spit up a hairball. I'm so out of touch with you kids and your crazy lingo...
Posted by: Solonor at June 20, 2003 04:08 AMNo Sollie, you silly! "Ganked" is when you steal something from someone, "horked" is what you do when you're on the brink of chundering (usually after hearing/seeing someone else chunder) and "gacked" is when you borrow something.
Doesn't matter anyway, because she misspelled your name in the first place. ;-)
MJ, your profile sounds like me - I only just woke up so I'm too tired to take the test yet, so I'm going to pretend that's my profile, too.
I just gacked your profile, yes I did.
Posted by: Natalie at June 20, 2003 04:59 AMI thought "Gack" was something you do right before you are going to "Spew"?!?
You know, those times when the left part of your brain thinks Tequila is a good idea, the right part of your brain is whispering Vodka, and all the while your tastebuds are screaming "More Beer!"
So you cave and have all three,
repetitively...then, later that evening, after a late night snack of Ice Cream and Taquitos, you "Gack" and then you "Spew". Am I wrong?!
For what it's worth...

In a nutshell: I can "see where I want to go" and even be able to "tell myself," but find that I am "fighting myself" at the darndest times.
I think this perhaps explains the Tequila, Vodka, Beer, Ice Cream and Taquitos combo, yes?
Doesa anvon speaka de english ere? Er, okay... me thinks I should take this quiz might enlighten me, or, at least, everyone else... oh, and nice place you've got going here. Duly bookmarked.
Posted by: The Fish at June 20, 2003 08:47 AMGank Gack Hork Urp Spew Chunder (I always thought it was chudder?) - This brings to mind Artichoke Hearts eloquent post on the art of the hairball.
As for the typo, it's been fixed (thanks for pointing that out Natalie!) I blame it on the vodka and my "focusing on the end result rather than the task at hand" Something I have indeed been known for on occasion. But never in bed.
Mmm Taquitos and Ice Cream - you know that sounds pretty damn good!
