Email Clip of the Week

"does anyone remember what to do with the challis that's guarded by the dragon thru the blue maze?? and what that bridge thing is for??

yes, its true..it took a rainy saturday, but the old atari 2600 is up and running...

so after clearing a couple of walls in breakout, followed by a rousing 10 minute tank battle, i'm trying to remember how to solve the damn adventure game.

so if you remember, come over... and bring beer...

wait, i hear pacman in the other room... gotta go..."

PAC MAN?!?!

Yes, "Pac Man" used to be quite popular, but then you probably weren't born yet. This was way way back... before we had running water and everyone worshiped the sun. Remember those days? Oh, sweet memories...

Oh my GOD. I LOVE ADVENTURE! That is the best game. I'll be there soon with a few cold ones...

Asteroids? Do ya have asteroids? I miss that game! At Walt Disney World they have a place (can't remember the name) where it's all games all the time and one room is all the old atari greats. I was never good at centipede or pac man but I loved asteroids, pong, and of course frogger. :o)

since i was involved in that afternoon - let me tell you what REALLY went on...the Engineer set up this thing onto my wonderful tv during college football and handed me the "unjoy" stick...we "played" a couple games before it was time for the Engineer to go on to some other electronic toy...but first the engineer plugged in "adventure" - I was SO excited until I realized I was a BLOCK?!?! I'm a freakin' BLOCK?! Where the hell are my hands? how do I kill the dragon without ARMS???? JEEZ! That's the point when I went to pacman - one of the very few games I've ever played. Can I just tell you that it's wrong for someone to remember the way through the maze of the "not excellent adventures of the block" when that person is, ummm, moments away from turning 37?? OK - grumble...clearly I'm still jealous that I never had the cool "video" games when I was growing up...but really, I still would have been bummed to be a block...

and to answer the questions on what "games" are available...I'd say there are about 50 or so in the box? more then I knew existed...check Ebay soon...kiddin', honey!!! heh.

Patton? He was gay? Hehe.

"You can't handle canadian beer." *said like Jack in that movie with the boy who can't act for shit, with an "eh" at the end, merely for affect.

Zeke just bought himself a "mini-atari" it's got 6 games on it...including Asteroids and PacMan.

At first I was opposed to the purchase. A waste of his hard earned money (and there are not alot of money earning options for a 10 year old in So. VT.) AND, another battle for the parental units (his PC and/or TV time is limited to an hour a day but, after several hours glued to the box trying to remember PacMan patterns...I was forced to cede the wisdom of his purchase. (My TV time isn't limited at all...the joy of being the BOSS!)

Never played adventure...sorry I can't help there...no beer for me.
