From Shit Hole to Chic

You want pictures? I'll be working up a whole progress site for the project when I get the chance, but in the mean time, here's a bit of what I took the other day (I'll save you from the bathroom photo's). And no, the floor plan is not to scale. What do I look like ... An engineer er sumptin'?

When we bought our house, we were greeted by a pile of something I called "medical meat" near our front door, and it took the phone company 8 hours to install basic service because the wiring was such a mess.

Every project unearths some other half-assed attempt from the previous owners, who were so crazy our neighbors said they used a rotary lawn mower to shovel snow.

Good luck with the renovations. Don't forget the Web cams and hot tubs!

Holy shit, MJ! You have a serious project in front of you. Definitely get a dealer in to look at that train stuff - try to sell the entire lot. I'd suggest starting with hobby stores or the library to find a local expert. I think it'd take way too much time to try to sell the stuff on eBay piece by piece.
