Oh No You Didunt!

Re: My last governator rant post: State Attorney General Bill Lockyer on Saturday rebuffed Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's demand that he force an end to San Francisco's same-sex marriages, calling the directive political rhetoric.

Mmm. Hmm. Now it's time to play everyone's favorite game "Take a step back!"

I'm sorry - I swear we will soon resume our regularly scheduled programming - it just that, well... c'mon!

I've met Lockyer a few times, and served on a commission of his. He's a good guy. I would have been very suprised if he played along with the Gov. on this issue.

He is going to be required to defend the state against SF's law suit, and I very much wonder how he'll handle it. I don't know his position on gay/lesbian marriage, but I do know that he is very supportive of lgbt rights generally.
