Sigh...

No Dinah Shore pool party fun for me today.

Mellow (who's technically not our cat, he's a dumped stray who eats and sleeps here on a regular basis) is undergoing unexpected surgery today. The bugger showed up this morning dripping blood all over our floor. The nerve of him. He'll be fine, it's just a very nasty wound on his right arm. Our vet took one look at it and sighed "surgical". Mellow finally figured out a way to cross over into the "medically responsible for" category.

$350, 2 weeks in an elizabethan collar and a drain. Oh happy day.

I'm telling ya, the stars are stacked against me this weekend.

We have to find this guy a permanent home where he won't be constantly fighting off feral cats. Poor guy. He's such a lover, but alas - this is not the ideal environment for him.
