they fired her husband too. Now that's just fricking wrong. I admit they might have violated policy, but they're being assholes about it. It's not like you can identify whose casket they belong to...

1. This is not about protecting privacy or the families, its about public opinion. 2. The news media has a responsibility to the troops to report this - sometimes its their only protection from being thrown into a meat grinder by the Pentagon. 3. The Bush administration has been extroadinarly secret and hostile to the media, especially in areas that might be politically sensitive to them.
