Official Recap: Long Term Parking

Oh man... I knew it was going to happen. In fact, I thought she'd be first whack of the season. I have to admit I got choked up though (no pun intended). I had a soft spot for Ade, despite her being the biggest coke ho east of the river. Did she really think Chris would flip? Hello?! Why, why, why did she get in that car with Silvio? I guess she really was that stupid. Sigh. Also, is it just me or did Carm seem a little too June Cleaver last night? There was something about her hair... It was strange. But that champagne cork/detached retina comment made me spew my cocktail...

Carm's hair was nearly as disturbing as poor Ade being killed. I'm just grateful that they didn't give us all the blood and gore of it, the way the do with so many of the murders. I couldn't have stood it. Also, the transition to one of the follow-up scenes, where Tony and Carm were looking at the land, had me for a second. When I saw the leaves and trees, I thought maybe Ade had survived, that Sil maybe couldn't bring himself to actually eliminate her. Sadly, no.

The tension leading up to that was brilliant. I don't remember the last time I was so disturbed waiting for an inevitable moment in television. I feel the same way, though. I loved Ade for all of her vulnerability and weakness. And I loved her for sacrificing good sense for wanting to believe in the good in people.

I loved Tony and Carm getting back together too. Can you even stand how he can be vulnerable with his putzy cousin, but he can't tell his wife he loves her and misses her. Brilliant!

The knifing scene was very disturbing to me. Desensitized to violence? Not me. And I like the Ade character so much I actually cheered when they showed her in her car with her suitcase driving down the freeway.

I have to wonder if Carm isn't playing Tony. Maybe this is her ticket to financial independence since she can't work it out with Tony through the regular legal channels.
