idiotness

Whilst looking at flight times online for our upcoming trip to Naples, I became puzzled as to why it took 4 hours to fly to Italy from London but only 2 hours on the way back. I actually entertained the thought that wind direction may have had something to do with it. Fortunately, I was chatting online with Andy who, pearl of sanity that he is, reminded me of the time difference. I am an idiot.

Ha! I've done that. Next month, I'll be flying from London to the West coast of the USA, and somehow, all that distance will take just three hours: the plane takes off at 2 pm, and lands at 5.

It's not often that I hear the words "sanity" and "Andy" in the same sentence.

I two Christmas Dinners that way. One in Misawa Japan - flew a sortie and landed in Adak Alaska in time for Christmas Dinner. Santa didnt come twice though, and effectively I worked on Christmas day - twice in one year!
