Here's a story that should send chills down your spine. Terror in the Skies, Again?". It's being discussed in depth on a few of the pundit blogs. From what I've read so far, the story checks out. Certain details were confirmed by one Dave Adams at the Federal Air Marshals Service.
In Other News: The Missus returns today. WooHoo! Thank god, because I really should not be left alone without adult supervision for more than a few hours. I turn into a complete slug and get absolutely nothing accomplished. The highlights of my weekend include: all of "I Love the 90's", followed by MTV's Boiling Points marathon. And then to make matters worse, I was compelled to counter the effects of an incredibly disturbing episode of Six Feet Under by watching Chad Lowe wearing a really bad wig in "Take Me Home: The John Denver Story" on CMT last night. I actually stayed up to watch the end. Far out.
Posted by MJ at July 19, 2004 10:00 AMthat episode of SFU was WHACK. I kept telling GG, "He's twice his size! Why is he not beating the crap out of him???" I would've gotten sick on the mofo by taking advantage of the opportunity to disarm him when he whacked him with the van door.
And when am I going to see the girls get in on? Total teasers...
back to you, MJ.

Posted by: greybird at July 20, 2004 07:13 PMHey...I'm in Hong Kong waiting for my flight to HCM City, and read the article from the woman on the NW flight to LAX. Although I can appreciate her anxiety, I am amazed that people only feel anxious when there are groups of the 'other' people acting suspicious. Whether Middle Easter, African American, Latino, etc, you put more than 5 of them together and all of a sudden there is a reason for concern. How many of 'them' did it take to destroy a federal building in Oklahoma City? I can go on and on, but won't. Since I fly 4 or more times per week and am in many different cities around the globe, I feel that this is the kind of negative energy which causes paranoia and problems. Yes, be aware of your surroundings and unusual activity! But it is wrong to suggest that more should have been done without any evidence. How would she feel if she was on vacation with a few other couples in a foreign city and officials pulled them aside questioning them because there were 5 or six people with camera bags in a group acting 'different'. You'd be acting different to if you just crossed 17 time zones and were not familiar with the surroundings.
